Louis played in the final major of the year, the USPGA at Whistling Straits, the stunning course on the shores of Lake Michigan and he missed the halfway cut by just one shot.

Louis shot rounds of 71 and 75 leaving him on a two over par total of 146, the cut falling at one over par.

Germany´s Martin Kaymer won the championship after a three hole play-off against Bubba Watson, both players finished on eleven under par in regulation play.
