Just four days after lifting the famous Claret Jug at St Andrews, Louis teed it up in the Nordea Scandinavian Masters at Bro Hoff Slott Golf Club just outside Stockholm in Sweden.
Louis received an invitation for the event from tournament sponsors Nordea and he finished in a tie for 4th in the event. Louis put together rounds of 67, 71, 71 and 73 giving him a four round total of 280, eight under par. This was a great performance from Louis on the back of his first major win last week. He stays at 5th in the Race to Dubai, just behind good friend, Charl Schwartzel.
"I didn't play well," said Louis after his final round "I didn't drive well and it put everything under pressure. I had to push it at the end, but Richard played brilliantly. I'm a bit disappointed, but after last week I was hoping to make the cut and I finished fourth, so I'm happy."
The event was won by Richard S Johnson who took the title on eleven under par, sinking a long birdie putt on the final hole.
Louis now returns to South Africa for a well deserved break and some family celebrations, before returning to the fairways at Firestone Country Club in Ohio, where he takes his place in the field for the Bridgestone Invitational which begins on 5th August.
