Second in Morocco

Louis played in the Trophee Hassan II in Rabat, Morocco over the Red and Blue courses at Royal Dar Es Salam Golf Club and finished in second place.

Louis went into the last round two shots clear but playing partner Rhys Davies from Wales, caught up with him and finished at twenty five under par firing in a 66 to take the title. Louis shot a three under par 70 in the last round but bogeys at the par three 14th and par three 17th put paid to his chances of the title and he finished two shots adrift at twenty three under par.

“I am disappointed, of course. I just struggled with my irons all day,” said Oosthuizen, who had shot rounds of 64 on Friday and Saturday. “It just wasn’t happening for me at all with the irons. I didn’t put the ball close enough to the pin in order to give myself chances. Rhys played brilliantly so congratulations to him.”

Louis now travels to Spain to play in the Open de Andalucia de Golf at Parador de Malaga de Golf which begins on Thursday.
