Louis played in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic at the Emirates Golf Club where he finished in a tie for 44th place. Louis shot rounds of 74, 72, 68 and finally a disappointing 75 which left him on a four round total of one over par.

The event was won by Miguel Angel Jimenez who overcame Lee Westwood in a three hole play-off after both players completed regulation play at eleven under par.

Louis now returns home to South Africa where he plays in the Dimension Data Pro-Am, which he won in 2007, taking place at Fancourt, George from 11th - 14th February.
