So here we are in Atlanta for the final major of the season and if one of our boys win it then ISM will have completed the grand slam this year.   And just to think we waited 20 years for our first major and now we might have them all within 12 months.

After Charl slipped on the green jacket, Rory captured the US Open and Darren lifted the silver claret jug, we now just need the Wannamaker Trophy to complete the set.  I’ll be delighted if any of our boys collects, but it would be particularly pleasing if Lee Westwood could finally cross the grand slam line after going so close so often.

Lee showed that he is in top form again with a top 10 at last week’s WGC Bridgestone event at Firestone while Rory was also up there and looking ready for another tilt at a major.

You can also watch out for Simon Dyson this week because he has a good record at the PGA and he seems to prosper in really hot conditions.

It’s going to be a great week whatever happens and hopefully we’ll be celebrating in style come Sunday night.  That could be some party.
