Louis played in the WGC - Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, and finished in a tie for 37th.

Prior to the start of the event he had a lucky escape as the car he was a passenger in was hit by another vehicle - a quick visit to the local hospital followed and he was released with a clean bill of health. Louis shot rounds of 71 71 70 and 69 to finish on one over par. The event was won by Adam Scott on seventeen under par.

Louis now travels to Atlanta to play in the final major of the year - the USPGA at Atlanta Athletic Club which begins on Thursday.
