Louis played in the flagship event of the European tour, the BMW PGA Championship at The Wentworth Club, in Virginia Water, Surrey, where he missed the halfway cut.

Louis shot rounds of 76 and 74 in very windy conditions to leave him on eight over par - the cut falling at four over par. Luke Donald defeated Lee Westwood to win the title at Wentworth after a sudden-death play-off, Donald now goes to world number one.
