Louis has been forced to withdraw from the Open de Andalucia de Golf at the Parador de Malague due to illness. He is extremely disappointed not be to able to defend the title that he won last year which was the stepping stone to his first major title a few months later.

The eye virus that caused problems for Louis in the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral has returned and spread to his mouth and doctors have advised him not to play for at least a week.

"It's very disappointing, but I can't risk making the problems worse," said Oosthuizen.

 It is hoped that he will make a swift recovery to return to the USA for the Shell Houston Open next week, followed by the US Masters.
