S.S.P. Chowrasia, or Chow as I find it easier to call him, completed what can only be called a Cinderella story last weekend.

Chow, who won the Indian Masters nearly three years ago to gain his playing privileges for almost that length of time, won the same tournament again just a month after losing his card.  So with the season still in its infancy, he now has an exemption for the best part of three years again.

Nobody likes to see anybody three putt the last to lose, but such was Robert Coles’ fate and Chow was the beneficiary.

It was an unbelievable way for our new business office in Delhi to launch – a new venture one day and a first champion a few days later.  I’d also like to thank all our Indian clients for supporting the company and look forward to gaining more and more champions from the sub-continent in the near future.

Our Indian stars were outstanding in their own country, Shiv Kapur in the top 10 behind Chow and Jeev Milkha Singh not far back in 11th while Joost Luiten continued his consistent run by finishing in 16th.

Now we’re in the desert of Arizona for the Accenture Match Play with five qualifiers from a field of just 64.  World No.1 Lee Westwood, now 17 weeks holding that title, heads our charge and it’s about time we had a winner again.  It’s been 11years since Darren Clarke beat Tiger Woods at La Costa so we’re due.
