Ernie Blows Hot

This will set Ernie up nicely for the upcoming events in Malaysia and Shanghai and I will not be in the least surprised if he adds to his tally of wins again this year

It’s an ill wind that blows nobody any good and Ernie Els was the beneficiary in Bermuda earlier this week.

Ernie was invited to the Grand Slam of Golf when Phil Mickelson withdrew and finally blew the other three participants away to claim his third win of the season.

It looked like David Toms, who got a late call to play when Louis Oosthuizen pulled out because of an ankle problem, was going to benefit most during tough final round conditions, but Ernie showed what a champion he is be keeping calm and patient.

When Toms faltered, Ernie pounced to collect the honours ahead of Toms and US Open champion Graeme McDowell and US PGA winner Martin Kaymer. This will set Ernie up nicely for the upcoming events in Malaysia and Shanghai and I will not be in the least surprised if he adds to his tally of wins again this year.

Congratulations too to our Dutch client Joost Luiten who had a great week in Portugal to finish tied second behind Aussie Richard Green at the Portugal Masters. Joost is getting ever closer to the winner’s circle and expect him to break through soon.

Charl Schwartzel was also in the top ten while Simon Dyson and Ross McGowan were in the top 20.
