The upcoming wedding to Rosalind doesn’t seem to have affected Charl Schwartzel’s golfing focus.
Charl was our top performer in the Swiss Alps with a fifth place finish in the Omega Masters, consolidating his season of consistency which I am convinced will bring its rewards before a new one begins.
We had several other players who were not distracted by the magnificent views on offer in Crans Montana. Charl’s South African colleague Thomas Aiken was also joined in the top 20 by Darren Clarke and Chris Wood.
Our best finish of the week, however, came in Strasburg where Steven Tiley came in joint second and finished up sharing first place prize money because the winner Romain Wattel is still amateur.
Steven is a very driven individual and you can be sure that however good he becomes at golf it will be the best it possibly could have been. He is getting better all the time and I am equally sure that what he strives for he will attain.
Now I’m back in the north getting rid of one bout of jet lag while knowing that the next one isn’t far away. That’s the business we’re in.
