Ahead of this week’s Ballantine’s Championship in South Korea, where Genworth’s Putts4Charity initiative will be making its first appearance of 2013, South African star Louis Oosthuizen was presented with the 2012 Genworth Performance Award.
Oosthuizen, 30, was handed the award by Kevin Fleming (VP, Genworth New Markets), which recognises outstanding consistency across all the Genworth Statistics Categories over the course of the year. He finished top of the Stroke Average list with an impressive 69.4, his Greens in Regulation figure of 80.48% over a whole season was exceptional and on those rare occasions when he did miss a green (1 out of every 5 on average), his Scramble rate of 71.5% was enough to top that category too. He was also consistently one of the best putters on Tour, which led to two wins, a play-off at the Masters Tournament and finishing 3rd in the Prize Money per Event Category.
